Employee Review

[ Edited ]

Had a a really great experience at the Best Buy on Concord Pike in Wilmington Delaware this afternoon.

My mom and I were searching for the best laptop to meet my mom's needs. Employee Mike {removed per forum guidelines} really took a lot of time to walk us through all the differences and his personal experiences with each of the models. My mother is not computer-savvy and he was very patient and explained things repeatedly so she would understand. He was very personal and knowledgeable, and made the purchase much less intimidating for her. He even went above and beyond and said we could call him with any questions or issues. He did not have a business card but wrote his number down for us on a piece of paper. We had such confidence in the purchase that we ended up buying just the right model with his help. He even walked us to the reigstered. So anyway, just wanted to let Best Buy know!

Re: Employee Review

Hey, mysterycat14,

Welcome to our forums!  Shopping for a laptop for yourself can be intimidating enough, but shopping for a parent?  That’s a whole new ballgame.  I try to be tech-savvy myself, but I know my knowledge of laptops is limited, so I’d certainly want some help from someone like Mike at our Wilmington, DE store as well.  From what you’ve described, Mike is exactly the type of person we hope our customers are able to interact with when visiting their local Best Buy store, and it’s great to hear he was able to help you and your mom find a laptop that will fit her needs!

I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us, and I’ll be forwarding your post to the leadership team at our Wilmington, DE store, so they can give Mike the kudos it sounds like he definitely deserves.

Thanks for posting,
