Employee Compliment

I would like to thank Monty at the Best Buy in Glendora, CA.  Short Backstory:  I was looking for a microwave and over the last 3 days, had to return 3 of them to 2 different stores (Target & Lowe's),  because they were all damaged. Upon returning to each of these stores (Target twice and Lowe's once) for refunds, I noted that every single microwave box on their shelves looked like they'd been thrown around by a bunch of irritated guerillas. No wonder these units were defective.  When I requested they test the next one if I paid for it first, both refused.   So much for customer service.

So this afternoon, frustrated and near tears after going back and forth for 3 days, I went online and saw a pretty white Sharp microwave at Best Buy in Glendora.  I spoke to a BB Rep on the online Chat and he took the time to call the store in Glendora and confirm the unit was there and also find out if it could be tested in store if I purchased it first and it could.

The BB Rep. that greeted me at the door was kind and friendly and guided me to the Appliance Section.  When Monty came over to assist me, I told him what had happened, he took the unit off the shelf (full of clean looking boxes, btw), I paid for it and he took the time to open the box and hook the microwave up to an outlet.  It worked perfectly!  I was so relieved.  He carefully reapacked it and carried the box up to the front and the BB Door Rep gently put it into my car.

Now "this" is Customer Service. Just being willing to take the time to go that extra distance..  And the price was very, very reasonable.  So thank you again Monty and the other two BB employees that were so helpful.
