Do you swipe a customers debit card in order to issue a return?

I returned a tablet last night and had the refund issued back to my debit card but the employee didn't swipe my card as they would at walmart, he just assured me that he authorized the return. I'd just like someone to confirm that he initiated the return properly, as I'd rather not deal with the headache of trying to prove that I didn't receive the funds owed to me.

No swipe needed, the funds are automatically returned to the card used to make the purchase. As long as you received either a paper or email copy of the return receipt you are good to go.
