Disappointed

I've been a customer for years and purchased cell phones, a laptop, TV, Zoom camcorder, refrigerator among other things but I recently purchased a Roku soundbar and was told by the store (Willowbrook, Tx) that they could price match when I picked it up but then was told no when I got there. The manager said call customer service and they would take care of it. I called and told the customer service rep that it was $70.00 cheaper at Walmart only for her to say it was limited stock at Walmart, whatever that means. I said okay well then I told her it was $20.00 cheaper at QVC only for her to come back and say that they weren't a valid competitor, funny because when you Google the Roku soundbar the first two things that come up were Best Buy, QVC and then Walmart. As far as I'm concerned Best Buy owes me $70.00, I bought from you because I would rather do business with you rather than Walmart but I'm not so sure now.

With regards to QVC, it is not one of the online retailers we currently match.

I did look over the Walmart website and I only found the 9101R sold by a 3rd party retailer for $199.94. Not only do items sold by 3rd parties not qualify, it’s actually $20 more than Best Buy’s current price. Wal-Mart does list a different model of Roku Soundbar exclusive to them with the model number 9100x for $129. A quick google search says that this is an exclusive lower end model introduced for and featured only at Wal-Mart. Based on that information, this would not qualify under the price match guarantee as they are different products. I could not find a “shipped and sold by Walmart” listing for the 9101X, so I am not able to confirm the information provided at the Best Buy in Willowbrook.

Thanks for the info, I thought for sure it was the same model as the one at Walmart, sorry about that, looks exactly the same, lol. I'm still not sure why they won't price match QVC or recognize them as a competitor when they both come up together when the item is searched online but the price was only $20 more at Best Buy. I've always liked shopping with Best Buy but I guess thats what I get for wanting something today, I'm not that big on ordering online and prefer the in-store experience. I feel better now knowing I didn't lose the whole $50.00, not sure why I was saying $70.00 above as it was a $50.00 difference but for a different model I guess, lol. Thanks for the quick response and sorry for the confusion.
