Delayed store pickup

So I went to best buy on April 1st and wanted to buy a new laptop but they said they did not have it in stock. So the employee ordered one online and I choose store pick up . The order said it would arrive on April 7th which it did not. I then got a email saying "you're order has been delayed and if u don't receive your item by May 7th will cancel it" I want to know what's up with my order and when I well I be able to pick it up I'm worried that I'll just be stuck waiting. .
