Damaged TV right from opening

On 6/17, I purchased a TV that had damage visible right from opening.  There were pressure marks on the screen that are clearly visible.  When I removed the TV and plugged it in, I found that the whole picture was pixelated.  I attempted to return the TV within 2 hours, and was told that they could not exchange it, as their is no way to prove the damage was their fault.  All they could do was suggest I contact the manufacturer.

 

When contacting the manufacturer, they told me to take it to Best Buy.  We are in a never ending loop here.  No one wants to help and I'm out $300 for a 55" TV.  Is there anything that can be done?

Thanks for connecting with us on our forums! I know how important it is to make sure that all of your electronics are in excellent condition. I can imagine having a TV damaged so soon would not be ideal at all!
