DONT waste your money at Best Buy

Bought the 82” Samsung Q80 from Best Buy. Told them I was doing a remodel, but they talked me into purchasing this tv while they had their Magnolia sale because it was the lowest price of the season. The TV never moved from the place they delivered it to. Followed the instructions on the box as to how to open it. Got the box opened and it was completely broken. I went back and forth with Best Buy and they wanted to give me a run around like it was Samsung’s fault THEY delivered a broken TV. Since I was an Elite Plus member they told me I had until January 14th to return this item. I contacted the store well before that date and now they want to tell me it’s $150-$300 to replace the back panel or $6,000 to replace the front panel. Spent over $15,000 with Best Buy last year between appliances and this TV and this is how they treat their customers. DON’T buy anything from them!!

Re: DONT waste your money at Best Buy

Good afternoon, Lauranicole,

A new TV for your newly remodeled home would be wonderful, so it’s disappointing to hear that your Samsung TV has been damaged. I know I would be upset if a piece of tech I was excited about didn’t work.

Currently, our Return & Exchange Promise requires products to be returned in a like-new condition and items that are damaged, unsanitary, dented or scratched may be denied a return. Beyond this, most products and customers have a 15-day window to return items, though Elite and Elite Plus My Best Buy members have an extended window of 30 and 45 days respectively for most items. You can see our Return & Exchange Promise for additional details.

While I cannot promise a different answer, I would love to take a closer look at your situation. For me to do that, I’ll need your full name, phone number, and email address. Please keep your information secure by using the “private message” option in my signature below this post.

Thank you,
