Customer service

Bought a Yamaha amp form the Sherman TX store. The processor over the last 45 days has been locking up where you have to recycle power. It got to be a daily thing around Black Friday so I waited until the crowds cleared out and brought it in. The manager told me its past the 30 day window so its your problem work it out with Yamaha. So much for elite status. The store is so badly managed getting help is a joke. Another one is where they had these speakers on ebay from Best Buy. Went to the store and said hey you sell them for X on ebay why are yours $75 more. The answer was because Best buy on ebay isn't really Best Buy. Wow So in todays world of Amazon and Best having such poor service why bother shopping there. I think I will just wait for the going out of business sale before I spend my money there again.

Everything they told you is pretty much 100% true....

You were outside the return window and I'm guessing didnt buy a service plan, so you would need to contact the manufacturer

The Ebay store tends to sell open boxes, discontinued and clearance items so they dont prive match the Ebay store, just

We appreciate you taking the time to connect with us on our forums about this! We totally understand how important clarity around our Return & Exchange Promise and Price Match Guarantee can be, and we would love to help however we're able! 


In regards to price matching our Best Buy eBay page: That is not something we would be able to do. All valid websites we price match are listed in our Price Match Guarantee, and eBay is not considered a valid price match at this time. This is why we would not be able to match even our own eBay store. 


In regards to returning your product that may have some issues: We hope, just like you, that all products will be excellent and built to last as long as you need. Unfortunately, as you are discovering, there is issues sometimes. This is why we stand behind purchases via our Return & Exchange Promise, and our Geek Squad Protection Plans. Being an Elite customer does afford you a longer Return & Exchange Promise on most products. However, outside of that time frame, the only options to assist would be Geek Squad Protection or the manufacturer warranty. If you did not purchase Geek Squad Protection, the next best step is likely to work with the manufacturer.
