Cracked Monitor Exchange Reject

I had purchased a HP computer monitor at Best Buy Harlem Irving store. When I picked up the monitor to install the screen cracked. Best Buy Harlem Irving store manager Muhammad {removed per forum guidelines} refused exchange. You would think with the completion they have, Best Buy would be more customer focused. I mean it was only a $100 monitor that I didn’t get to use. So I guess I’ll go to Best Buy, look at what they have, then buy from Amazon. I will never buy from Best Buy again. All for a stupid $100 monitor they wouldn’t exchange. More for principle than the money. It’s obvious they didn’t care. I guess that’s why Amazon is so successful.

Welcome to our community forums. I appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience at our Best Buy Harlem & Irving location. While I don't purchase monitors too often, I know it's a big decision that takes a lot of research so I can understand your disappointment to see this screen broken. While our Return & Exchange Promise allows us to take back quite a lot of products we are unable to accept damaged items. Just to make sure I understand, was this monitor damaged when handling it? Was there any damage to the packaging for this monitor?

The product was damaged while handling. I was hoping someone at Best Buy actually cared about customers. Muhammad {removed per forum guidelines} at the Harlem and Irving store does not. I brought in the broke monitor. They refused to replace. I got home and just found out that they didn’t give me back the power cord. I called the store and they told me to go away. I asked for the manager and they hung up on me. Now I can’t even use the monitor. What’s wrong with Best Buy?

While I appreciate the fact that you want to try to get my power cord back I’m kind of done with Best Buy. What I would like is for you to let Best Buy corporate know that this store and Best Buy policy has lost a customer forever. All over a $100 monitor. For me it’s not the $100 it’s the principle. I’m assuming that you could care less, just like the management of that store.
