Complaint on customer service

Just really feel the need to voice my complaint. I was in best buy to buy a macbook 13" for 999.99. I was waiting at the register for someone to help me and no one came so I walked around to go ask other workers for help. All the workers were talking amongst themselves and doing things for each other--like helping each other fix their phone. I felt like I was an inconvenience to the workers. I then went the other areas like the TV area and the cell phone area but the workers were either too busy in their conversation to help me or not even paying any attention to me as I was trying to ask them for help. None of them were making eye contact with me--as if they were trying to avoid me. Finally I went up to someone who was working and told her to please get me someone who can please help me. As she went to the laptop area she asked for someone to come help. The other workers who were "busy" or talking with other customers who were just looking around then came and asked the worker who was helping me what I wanted. I explained which macbook I wanted which was the one with the apple logo that lights up. The worker didnt even listen to what I said and told the guy on the ladder/stairs which one she thought I wanted. The girl helping me rang it up for 1199.99 and I said that is not the one I'm looking for. I needed the 13" macbook air. Then the workers said "we only have the 128 storage and its for 1199.99." I said no thats not the right one. They didnt even want to double check for me. So i ended up looking the price up on my phone and even went back to the display to look at the price where it says 999.99. Then they worker said "yes thats the same exact one we already got."  the girl at at the register looked up the laptop from the information that I looked up on my phone and found that the price was indeed 999.99. A lot of this was just unnecessary and if they would have just helped me and listened it would have been a better experience. As a customer who is spending a good amount of money, I feel as though I should have been treated a little better and maybe respected better. The girl who did help me I appreciate her and thanked her for helping. The other people on the other hand, make me not want to shop at best buy.

Welcome to Best Buy’s online community. Purchasing a laptop was not only a big purchase for me, but it also required some research. I felt proud of walking into the store and knowing what I wanted. Plus, I looked forward to saving a couple of hours in the store by all the research that I had done. That is why I can understand the disappointment you must have had when there were no sales representatives to assist you with locating the model of computer that you were ready to buy. Then, the confusion that came after you were checking out must have just added additional frustrations. I am sorry for the inconvenience that you had when attempting to purchase your computer.

 

I am delighted to learn that you were able to get a price adjustment made to your purchase and that you had one employee listening to your concerns during the visit. Sometimes that one interaction can overcome all the negative encounters one has had. I will be happy to provide your feedback to our store leadership. When you get a moment, please let me know what store location this took place?
