Complaint about Sharp TV 40”

To whom it may concern,

I recently purchased the Sharp Roku TV 40” (product number: 6261177) at Best Buy Capital Blvd and the product was both defective and not as advertised. When I got it home, it was defective and the remote wouldn’t work. I called both Sharp and Best Buy tech help and had bad experiences with both of them - with the Best Buy geek squad telling me that “he wasn’t in the store so couldn’t help me (with reserving a new one to pick up)”. Another issue I discovered was that upon installation, the product depth was considerably larger than listed on Best Buy’s website. It is listed as 3.4”, we measured it (since it didn’t fit on our mantelpiece) and it came to 7.6” (see attached images for proof). Since I bought this particular product purely upon the assumption that it would fit where I intended it to fit without mounting, I am extremely unimpressed and disappointed with my experience as now I’m having to spend an extra 100$ on a mount. I ended up driving 1 hour to a Best Buy with the product in stock and exchanging it. As a result of this, I would appreciate it if you could give me some money off of this purchase.
