Cheated on Samsung Q70T open box

I recently bought Samsung Q70T TV from Best Buy Laval. I have been told the tv comes with original manufacturing warranty but when I contacted Samsung I have been told it does not cover accessories. Since the day of purchase the remote of my tv is not working as intended and despite having geek squad protection a little help has been offered. Will Best Buy or geek squad replace the remote control in this case or should I return the TV. It was up selling at Best Buy store and poor show of customer service.

Open items are considered one of a kind items, and are not replaceable with another unit. The official Best Buy policy on an open item that is deemed unsatisfactory by the customer would be to return the item, I see no mention of the purchase date but if you are within your return period this would be the best course of action. Outside of that official process, I would also suggest speaking with the manager of the store you purchased the tv from. There are no guarantees that they will deviate from the aforementioned process, but they might offer up an exception to provide a solution for the remote issue.

Not sure how much you saved by buying an open box, but brand new q70t remotes are only 12$ on ebay....
