Charged Twice After Making an Order

I made a purchase today, and about 30 minutes after it was made a message appeared saying that my payment method was invalid. However the total amount for the purchase was withdrawn. So when I updated my payment method I was charged twice.

If the first one failed it is an attempted authorization and nothing but that. Best Buy won't collect on that amount, it will simply fall off on your account in accordance with your card issuer and how they handle pre-authorizations. 


Since the 2nd one was successful this is the only one they will collect at that time. Only your bank can tell you about the first authorization and when it will fall off.
