Change financing option after purchase?

Hey guys,

I screwed up on two purchases recently where it defaulted to financing rather than points. Is it possible to retroactively change this? I've already paid the balance on my BB the financing was super unnecesary.

Re: Change financing option after purchase?

Good morning, athomas90,

Welcome to the forum!  There are some pretty awesome financing offers available to cardholders of the Best Buy Credit Card, and depending on the amount of your purchase, you can earn a notable amount of My Best Buy™ reward points, too.  I’m sorry to hear you may have selected a different plan than intended at the store for a few of your recent purchases.

Generally speaking, a financing plan is locked in once it's selected at the register.  If you've already paid off your balance, it's unlikely you'd be able to retroactively change your financing plan.  That said, while I can't guarantee a particular outcome, you're welcome to reach out to Citibank, N.A.—the issuer of your Best Buy Credit Card—and discuss your account in more detail at (888)-574-1301.

I hope this helps. Thank you for writing to us and for being a cardholder!
