On another occasion I bought a cell phone unlocked in the Best Buy and I had no problems.
And the best buy seller sold me as an unlocked cell phone.

Verizon phones are supposed to be unlocked and working with other SIM cards. As the matter of fact, I have bought Verizon iPhones before at Best Buy and they work okay with my local sims. This time it doesn't. Keeps saying Sim not supported. Help me please

When you buy universal iphone.. You can only usanin USA.. But i know how go unlock it. Those phones clone to first ever sim card that is used. Can never be unlocked.
Advice.. Use Verizon sim as to activate and its 100% unlocked.
As verizon doesnt support activation now policy that has with apple in Att or Tmobile.
There is 3 activation policy..
1. Activation now
2. Activation next
3. Activation by default.
Everyone who buyes iphone universal from best buy.. Ita not unlocked. Its only made for 4 US carriers. First sim used on it. You stuck with it.
Att wont unlock and it wont show in their data base
T mobile says A1660 is not their phone. A1778 Tmobile.
Sprint.. Forget about it.

This is Adnan Suhail from India. I bought an iphone 7 from your store(1545) around 1 month back. I asked for an unlocked one as i was going to use this phone in my home country, India. I clearly mentioned this to your person. Still he gave me a locked version knowingly or unknowingly i am not sure. Now i am back to my country and having an issue to use it with my indian sim. I contacted apple support. They guided me. And asked me to contact purchase point to know with which carrier my phone is locked? Also can you unlock it?I will be providing device details transation number etc with u.

I have bought an Iphone 7 at best buy in Ft. Lauderdale. I asked for an unlocked Iphone to work in Brazil, and the salesman sold it  unlocked. But, it doesn't work in Brazil. My Iphone is locked, I can't use it in Brazil. I diddn't buy it locked.
I need to know how it will be solved, please!

Verizon never lock 4G LTE devices. They should be unlocked anyway

I purchased an Verizon iPhone 7 from Besybuy, and they said it works with any carrier. I used 2 differrent sim att and t-moble and it worked fine. 

I broght it to Vietnam and it relocked.

My nephew bought an iphone 7 plus for me last week wednesday . It was suppose to be unlocked as requested cause it was leavine the country . I recieved the phone but it is locked to an unknown carrier and I would like to have it unlocked via a code . So I could have use of it . So my question is what carrier is the phone locked to ?

Same problem but I solved like Adriano:

1- Buy in ebay (USA ) a VERIZON sim for iphone activation ( used o new but must say for activation), then you have to wait 20 days until the courrier send your package.

2- Then, put the verizon sim, activate the iphone

3- Restore your backup if you have a previous iphone

4- Then when everything in the iphone 7 is working ...

5- Replace the Verizon SIM with your local SIM

6- FINISH and working.
