Broken item out of box

I purchased a 40” Samsung Flat screen tv that was reduced price from being open box. When I took it home and opened it, I noticed the upper frame of the screen is separated from the screen. I’m wondering how returning it or exchanging it will go. I did not purchase a warranty or a protection plan.

The box was transported sitting upright in the back seat of my car. It was not dropped, bumped, hit or anything of the sort.

I’d assume the damage happened before being put back in the box if it was a display item or a return. Either way I paid $200 for a broken Samsung flat screen.

You would need to contact the store you purchaced it from asap. The longer you wait the less chance they will take it back

Re: Broken item out of box

Hey there, Dalton2000,

Thanks for your question. @nchhammond offered great advice. If you notice any damage to a product you purchased and brought home directly from the store, connecting back with that location to speak about options ASAP is very important. See our Return & Exchange Promise here for more information, particularly details currently found under the heading “Like-new condition.”

If you have not done so already, I would highly recommend speaking with your local store about your situation. Please let us know how that goes or if you have any additional questions we can help with from here.

Thank you,
