With the holidays approaching I saw the black friday pricematch guarantee and decided to buy a z5 camera for my wife. After purchasing it the price dropped further and I got on the bestbuy website and contacted an agent via chat. The agent confirmed the item was eligble for the price match and that I should see the item credited to the card I had use in one billing cycle. I also got an email stating that it should automatically be applied by Dec 15th.
This is when the frustration begins, after not seeing it appear on the card I contacted best buy customer service about it. Apparently the agent had not fully submitted it, the agent agreed that the item was eligble and confirmed that it was submitted.
After not seeing it on my card again I tried to call best buy customer service, both times I got hung up on.
I tried going into a best buy store to see if I could get store credit for it, but unfortunately the system does not let them do it if it was purchased over 2 weeks ago (had purchased about 2 months ago at the time)
Finally I got in contact with someone via best buy chat who figured out that the original case was wrongfully canceled. They resubmitted, but after having issues with people not submitting I contacted best buy again to find out it was never submitted (surprise!). I was given a new case ID, but doubt anything was done.
I have gone every route I can to try and get this resolved. Everytime I am told that it is submitted, given a case ID and told I should hear back from someone within 24hrs. Everytime I dont hear from anyone, contact best buy and find out that the case was not submitted or all that was done was a note was added to the case.
All I want is either store credit or a gift certs to my best buy account at this point. It should not take 3+ months, several hours of my time to get something like this resolved. I am very disappointed in best buy after this experience and am posting here as a last resort.
