Best buy Salesperson said I can add Google Fi insurance

I purchased my new pixel pro 7 via bestbuy.com. the phone got stuck in a boot cycle so I went in store to fix it. They couldn't so I was told I could exchange it. I didn't. I had to pay and extra 300 cause they only had a 256 g. When I was rung up I was offered total tech for 200 I can afford that since I had to spend it on the upgrade. I asked if there was another option and I was told no. I asked if I could add Google Fis insurance plan after the fact and I was told yes, as long as I do it with in 30 days. Come to find out Google Fi will not let me add insurance on a phone no purchased via Google. So now I have no insurance because a sales person lied to me.

Hello, Letheforgot,

Thanks for reaching out on the Forums. I understand your experience around your new pixel 7 hasn't been the greatest. Best Buy still does offer a Geek Squad Protection, if google wasn't willing to give insurance on your new phone. As long you are within our 14 day Return & Exchange Promise. The Totaltech can be purchased anytime and is great to have covering all of your technology needs.
