Hello, Mrchristian123,
Thank you for registering with the forum, though I wish you had found us under better circumstances. Buying a new iPhone 11 should be exciting. I know when I finally upgraded my phone last year from my outdated iPhone 6, I was thrilled! It sounds like you knew you were going to be switching carriers, so the ability to move between them was crucial in your purchasing decision.
It sounds like you may have purchased a universal iPhone, which works on any of the three major US carriers (Sprint, Verizon, or AT&T), but locks to the carrier of the first SIM card inserted. From that point on, it would be up to the carrier to unlock it, as mentioned by nckhammond. I would be delighted to look further into your particular experience to see exactly what happened, so please keep an eye on your inbox in the top right corner of the page for my private message.
Sincerely,
