I recently took advantage of Best Buy's trade in program to upgrade my iPhone 12 Pro. After a couple of weeks of using my new iPhone 13 Pro Max, I realized the size was too large for me to hold comfortably. My plan was to exchange it for an iPhone 13 Pro but when I went to the store, they told me that I would lose the value of my trade in and would have to pay an additional $600-something if I wanted to exchange it.
Since it is a Verizon device, I am still within the allowed 30-day return window. However, it doesn't seem right that I would essentially have to forfeit the value of the trade in in order to return the device for a new one. Does anyone have any advice on what to do?
Thank you

If the phone is too large to hold, consider buying one of those devices that you can put on the back of your phone and you can easily hold it. I think they are called pop sockets.

Hello, jpl3,
Thank you for joining our online community. Purchasing a new phone is always exciting, and it is even better when there is a trade-in option to take advantage of. I understand you may not be happy with the original device you chose, which may lead you to considering an exchange. I’d like to learn a bit more about how this transaction was processed, in effort to ensure I am providing you with the most accurate information.
