Best Buy refusing to refund my trade-in value after I returned the product that I purchased

On 9.16.22, I traded in my iPhone 12 Pro Max for $490+$110 promitional trade in credit that went towards an iPhone 14 Pro. However, I realized that I had purchased the wrong phone and came back to return the phone on 9.22.22 and purchased an iPhone 14 Pro Max. 

 

On the day that I returned the phone, the store associate had told me that the trade in would not be applicable to my iPhone 14 Pro Max since the phone was already paid for in full, and that the credit would be sent to me in the form of a gift card.

 

I have yet to receive any refund whatsoever regarding my trade in item and have spoken to several online representatives that have directed me to speak with associates at the store regarding my trade in. After doing so, I was redirected to Best Buy's support page and told that there wasn't much that they or I could do about the trade in credit being lost in the void. 

 

So far, I have been redirected back and forth without any resolution or promised confirmation emails regarding my case.

I purchased a television on 9/17/2022 {removed per forum guidelines} from your company, and am having a 

horrible customer experience. 

 

Placing my order was a pleasant experience, and thought I had found a company to service all of my electronic needs. However, I was double charged, and every time I call customer service, I spend hours on the phone and transferred several times before someone starts to assist me.  On 10/19/22, an associate disconnected the call after I demanded to speak to a supervisor several times. A supervisor did not return my call as he said he would on 10/18/22. 

 

I am unsatisfied with the TV’s quality.  The television freezes for extended periods, and very blurry at times. I called Geek squad on 10/13/22, when it was agreed a technician would come out to inspect the tv for manufacture’s defects, and if none present, I would exchange it for a better quality. I called Best Buy everyday from 10/17-10/19/22. On 10/19/22 an associate said they will not honor an exchange nor a refund as I am beyond the 30 day window for such changes. This is very unreasonable, as I tried to resolve this matter before the 30 day limit with repeated calls to customer service.  

 

I would like to exchange for an upgraded tv, and expand my warranty from 2 to 5 years. 

 

Please advise me how to move forward.

Yikes....i was gonna return a phone just like you. Now im in doubt...they called me a fraud for doing the deal when i went in in the first place...but thats a store/employee issue. This seems like a systematic failure at bestbuy. Did they resolve your issue bud?

Hope it works out buddy, the more contact i have with bestbuy the worse a company it seems to be. Im got a few phones for christmas for family but i think im going to return them now and buy somewhere else...but saw your post and i think theyre going to find another way to screw us again.

It worked out! I was able to get timely responses from the new specialist that took over my case and resolve my issue.
