Best Buy Gift Card Refund Issue

I tried to do a Best Buy in-store pick up and had 3 Best Buy in-store credit gift cards that I was using for my purchase. Long story short, I received an email within 30 minutes stating that Best Buy was unable to process my payments. 2 of the gift cards failed authorization and the other didn’t so I cancelled the order due to Best Buy trying to charge the remaining balance on my Best Buy credit card.

The 2 gift cards that failed authorization haven’t been refunded on the cards so I called Customer Service and they told me it could take up to 24 hours. Of course, it didn’t refund so I called again and then customer service stated that would escalate it and have it refunded before end of day. That has passed and both gift cards are still at a $0 balance. Can I please get some assistance with this because I’m tired of getting the run around. I want to be able the purchase the items before the sale ends.

Still no reply from either the @BestBuySupport or from anybody from Best Buy on this forum. I appreciate the great customer service and experience….. I still have received a refund for MY gift cards.

Best Buy social media outlets including forums are run by corporate. As we are in a busy holiday season, they have increased post volumes and may not be able to get your post right away.

 

If this matter is immediately, you can call 1-888-BEST-BUY to attempt to resolve the matter. Otherwise Best Buy mods will do their best to help you with this matter when they are able to. Your patience is appreciated in this matter.

I appreciate your assistance @hockeycanuckjc. The reason why I’m on here is because I’ve called customer service multiple times and keep getting the run around. I’m on my 11th time calling them and I get a different answer every time. It’s either it can take 8-10 business days to being transferred to the credit card department. It’s been an awful experience and I hope nobody goes through this.

I did finally get somebody to file a ticket for new gift cards but she stated that it could take 24-48 hours to get a response from that department. I still have my doubts that I’ll get anything from them but I’ll update if I do or don’t. I apologize for my frustration but this has been an awful experience and I’m just requesting for gift cards to be refunded.

Welcome to our Best Buy Support forums. I can understand having your order cancelled and then not being able to get a refund to the gift cards that you used, is not a welcome situation. I appreciate wanting to get this resolved as quickly as possible.

Just wanted to update that Kristy was able to solve my issue and get my refund back to my gift cards. She was awesome.
