Best Buy Canada - Ordered a receiver where the website says it’s Atmos Capable... but it’s not

Hi, this is an odd situation and had I realized this within the first month I would have immediately returned and repurchased a different item, but as I was in the middle of a move and dealing with a lot, I just recently got to the point that I was going to order Atmos speaker add ons.

I decided to search and figure out how to do so, on my Sony DH-590... yet I was confused when I could not find an answer on how to do it on the Sony site or in the manual.

I initially thought I was going crazy, until I went back to look at the Best Buy item page. Lo and behold did I find out that in the specs it clearly states YES next to DTS:X and Atmos.

Obviously that is not the case. The DH-590 isn’t an Atmos receiver. However I am finding this out now, weeks past the 30 day return period.

I plan on calling BB Canada tomorrow but I cannot express my disappointment remotely strong enough. I assumed I’d gotten a great deal on a future proof receiver when in fact I was on the receiving end of a problematic and factually incorrect product detail page.
