So I purchased a new Apple watch 4 from BB yesterday. It is aparently impossible to activate cellular on it. I called ATT and they said Bestbuy put 4/2 as the activation date and now I need to call Bestbuy and have them correc that. So I call Bestbuy and they tell me the only thing I can do it drive back to the store and have them process a return and re-buy the item. This is completely unacceptable and this will certainly be my last mobile purchase from BB. When i purchased my phones from Bestbuy it was a major pain to activate with ATT as well. Why sell these items if you can't activate them? Or at least tell people this up front so they know.....?

I am, however, sorry to hear that you're having this trouble with the activation. In this case, being that it's an activation issue with an item purchased in-store, we would indeed recommend stopping back in and speaking with someone to see about a resolution. This may indeed require an exchange, but they should be able to determine if that's the case.
I understand that's not the most convenient resolution and for that I'm sorry. I am confident they'll be able to best assist though.

I’m sorry that we haven’t been able to get that worked out for you yet.
If you do decide to return that watch, you'll have 14 days under our Return & Exchange Promise. Depending on your location, you may also be looking at a restocking fee of $45.
Since you need to come back to the store to get the phone returned, I’d check in to see if we can complete the activation first so that you don’t lose out on that restocking fee.
Alternatively, you can call our Best Buy Mobile team directly at (877) 702-2211. I can’t make any promises, but they can check the activation out and see if they can help remotely. In the end, you may have to go to the store, but it may be worth a shot.
