Bad experience in Burbank Illinois

So our stove died the other day. Heard from friends that the best buy outlet has good deals. Went on the old Google machine to find out they're only open Friday Saturday and Sunday. Arrive at the store this afternoon only to be greeted by a sign stating that I need an appointment. I need an appointment to buy an appliance. No where online, Google, best buy website does it say this. To make matters worse the girl, who wasn't about to give her name, was damned rude, claiming that the only way to discover this need for an appointment (to buy an appliance, not to have a tooth pulled) was to travel to the store and discover the sign on the door. This seems like poor business practices. Anywho I guess I've spent my last dollars at best buy. Btw...tried to find contact information to send this directly to best buy corporate but was unsuccessful. Hmmmmmm... kinda makes me wonder

Have you heard of this virus thing going around? That's why they're doing things by appointment. And when you go to bestbuy.com, they have a link to their safety info right on top, and in there, there are links to make an in store appointment.

Ohhhhhhhh...the virus. Yeah I went on the website and nowhere does it say appointment only. Furthermore the regular best buy store is right next door and for some reason I could just walk in there without an appointment. Maybe you could enlighten me on how this could be exactly, you know with the virus and all.

The link that drumn_bass mentioned provides the details on ways to shop.  Most stores are handling walk-in business for items that you can pick up and take to check out.  Those same stores require appointments for complex sales like appliances.  Due to the limited resources and staffing, this is the way we can ensure there is someone knowledgeable in that area available to assist you.

Here is the link:  https://www.bestbuy.com/site/misc/shop-confidently/pcmcat1584713369767.c?id=pcmcat1584713369767

In the right column is the option for making an appointment for an in-store consultation.  Due to the high likelihood of needing delivery or pickup along with ordering from the warehouse, this is a complex interaction as mentioned above.  It will require an appointment.
