Asked to sign a waiver for no more returns?

Hello all! I have been on a semi annoying journey to find the perfect laptop for me. Long story short, I chose best buy based on their generous return policy! I'm an elite member as well. The first 3 laptops I had used were using newer GPU's which were having trouble running even basic games, and tech support said there was no reason for it and to not worry about swapping them. They've had people go through 10+ before! Wellp, the 4th model I tried felt like flimsy plastic after getting it home.. and the geek squad in store suggested trying yet another model. So. Now I'm on #5, and i just saw the price lowered another $100 within a week of purchase, and others I would have looked at are around the same price. My problem is this though.. am I going to be denied my return and stuck with this current computer? The only reason I shop with best buy is due to their customer service, but when served with this notice on my last swap it left a terrible taste in my head.. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Asked to sign a waiver for no more returns?

Hello, DiamondXSky, and welcome to our online community!

Thanks for reaching out to us through the Forum page and choosing Best Buy for your next laptop purchase. I know this can be a very important decision, and finding the right laptop that you're comfortable with and suits your needs is crucial!

It sounds like you've been working closely with our Geek Squad on trying out different models. As far as returning the current computer you have, that would be something to chat with your Geek Squad services about. They should be able to answer all of your questions about options available to you.

Also, you mentioned a price drop within a week of making your purchase. I encourage you to review our Price Match Guarantee to see if this is something we could price match for you if you decide to keep the model.

Please let me know if I can help with anything further,

Re: Asked to sign a waiver for no more returns?

As I have mentioned, the Geek squad members at my home.store were the ones who said "just keep trying until you find the right one. We've had people go through far more models than you, dont worry about getting locked out of returns". I then recieved the waiver at that very return of a Mercury White RB15 at a different store when swapping the model we were talking about. I'm afraid to go and try to return it because I dont want my account locked out of returns just for trying after seeing/signing that though!

I'm also aware that if I attempt to get the difference in price back, it's a "return-resell" which could also lock down the account. I'm not a serial returner, but I did make some purchases I wasnt happy with. Now I'm afraid to even try 😔
