Hi I had bought two Armor Edge screen protectors for iPhone XS Max sometimes in 2018. When I bought, I was told it comes with lifetime warranty. I had also paid extra to get them applied, as each of the screen protectors were $29 and I dint want to mess them up.
Now recently both the screen protectors are broken. I went to store to get them replaced considering the lifetime warranty. Suddenly the store personnel (Fields Ertel Road) tells me that they can’t honor the Warranty as their partnership with armor edge seems to be discontinued. But they still have the product in-store.
After a detailed internal discussion I was told to contact Armor Edge and request for new product (mind you I’ll have to pay additional shipping cost extra on their website). This is after I have paid around $60 for product plus services.
I am utterly disappointed with this. After this issue, I would certainly think more than once before availing any service from Best Buy.
The “lifetime warranty” is facilitated by Armor Edge, as it always has been. Other than a brief window where they actively partnered with retailers to provide this service in store, the warranty offerings has remained consistent. As written, they have always offered their warranty replacements via mail, like Invisibleshield and other screen protector manufacturers.
At some point Best Buy was removed from that process, leaving the original written guarantee as the sole means to facilitate a warranty replacement.
Hope this helps clear up the issue you’re having with Armor Edge’s warranty process , as well as clarifying what role Best Buy once played.
