Another reason Amazon is killing Best Buy

I went into my nearest BB store to but a tablet as a gift. They had the 7 inch and the 10 inch version, but I wanted the 8 inch. I was told they would have to order. Ok, no problem. It was due to arrive in store one week later. That would be perfect. However, the order is now 3 days past due, no word on it and nobody at the BB store or their 800 number seems to care at all. No attempt to track the item...nothing. SERIOUSLY? Surely there is a tracking number, right? What am.i supposed to do? Put an IOU in the gift box?
To add insult even further, had I ordered the same device from Amazon, it would have been at my doorstep within 48 hours and would have been 20 dollars cheaper!
There are only two reasons why anyone chooses to go to a brick and mortar anymore. 1) to see the item in person and 2) so that you can deal with a live person if there is an issue. BB has failed miserably on both. The item was NOT in stock and had to be ordered and it has not even arrived and ALREADY there is an issue.
BB had better figure this out...AND FAST, because they will be the next Sears if they dont.

.....and here we are 2 days after my origional posting, 5 days after the date that the tablet was supposed to be available for me to pickup, and still no tablet. In fact, this iss now exactly one week after Amazon would have had the device at my doorstep. All I can say is wow.
