AirPods purchase

I am extremely frustrated. I bought the AirPods with the wireless charging case, spent $200. I was not asked for my phone number for my Best Buy Rewards Account, so I can’t find my receipt. I spent $200 on these. I just want to go in and swap them out for a new repair and I know there is a way they can do it, but the store refuses to help. I went into the store and they could not find my receipt either and said they can’t swap them out for a new pair.
