Absolutely Disgusted

On 1.7, I purchased an open box unlocked phone from the Warner Robins, GA location. I was told that this phone was "unlocked". I drove over two hours to gift someone with this phone and $24 screen protectors. Imagine my dismay when the phone wouldn't let us connect. We kept getting a message saying there was an attempt to reset the phone and that we should log in to verify identity. I drove all the way back down and spoke to a manager about all of this and how much of an inconvenience I'd experienced. He said whomever reset the phone had not removed the Google account. He said he was going to see what he could do. Shawn came out with a 64G unlocked phone, but there was an $87 difference. He offered to take off $50, but I'd have to pay the other $37. Like I told him, I don't have another $37. Basically, I had to leave without my phone. I'm so disgusted by this entire ordeal. I wasted 4 hours driving for nothing, then I'm expected to pay $40 because that's all they have. That phone and Screensaver was a gift. I had to break someone's heart by telling them that they wouldn't be getting a phone. I don't even recall getting an apology. Based on this, I won't recommend Best Buy to anyone.

I am absolutely sure. This other manager tried to sell me a phone wrapped in bubble wrap. I told him that wasn't the correct phone. He looked again and I identified the correct phone. I have not used the gift card. It doesn't make sense that there would be a price discrepancy at all. Had the original phone been reset properly, none of this would be happening. In addition, I sent you a DM right after it happened.

Please do that. I was told he'd be in around lunch. I just need them to honor what was quoted. My baby wants his phone. I can send the original receipt as well to our private conversation.
