It's always a great idea to purchase extra protection on an important product like this, but I'm sad to learn you have run into issues with your repair a few years down the line. I'd be glad to share more information about our Geek Squad Protection (GSP) and how it works with a manufacturer's warranty.
Your plan starts on the day you purchase the item and runs concurrently with the manufacturer warranty. Essentially, what a manufacturer warranty may not cover within its one-year period, your GSP plan should. While some plans may have limited coverage beginning after the manufacturer warranty ends, it sounds like there may have been a miscommunication with the coverage you had on this TV.
