unethical deletion of folders without permission.

Today I had extensive work done on my PC by a Geek Squad rep. His name was Alex, and I asked him to check for viruses and malware, in addition to giving me a general tune-up. He seemed great at first and answered many of my questions, but when I opened my downloads page I noticed that he had deleted several of my folders with photos and some of my videos downloaded would not play.. I never asked him to do so, so why did he? I also noticed a Polly prissy pants comment on this forum.She was someone who abused me on PInterest. So are these two related? Hope not! And yes, these folders contained legal adult content that I have never sold or shared with anyone.Give me a break Geek squad! Peter {removed per forum guidelines}

If any of the folder were downloaded "free" from the internet they most likely contained some of the malware you asked him to delete. The software they use will identify and delete automatically.

Generally anything with the words "free, or coupon" are all things not to click on or download.

I hate to hear you may have encountered some issues with your media and other files after one of our Agents worked on your PC. While nckhammond brings up some good points, I'm wondering if you discussed the issues you saw further with Alex or store leadership?
