I hesitate to use geek squad although Ive paid for total tech support; this is b ecause in generlal the time takent o begin to get help is excessive, the time taken to do (an incomplete) job is very long, and often the problem is not solved though feedback is requested instantly. There is never a point at which they're not too busy- and this was the same pre covid. It is a good tactic for getting members then never helping. The most recent problem that has not been solved is the following-
I have some potential driver /update corru[ption problems. id like anothjer pair of eyes to assess this. My asus vivobookx705 has begun to shutdown spontaneously; task manager shows a huge number of processes running even if all the apps I started are one browser tab;since the last geeksquad ticket 'resolution' where i was told drivers and updates were checked, the shutdowns recurred , keystrokes take a long time to be echoed in a document. ive noticed the display drivers are not upto the most current version on the manufacturer page. Having called in a day and a half later and waited for an agent after a couple of pointless chat waits, the agent took a long time to get the description going, her main contribution before connecting me to tech support was to ask to power cycle, and there seemed to be a bit of a language barrier as well. THen i was told another hours wait was likely after an already long day and the claim was made that mornigns are better for geeksquad support. Being that fixes are never actually fixes, and there' s always a long wait. geeksquad is starting to seem a ripoff in the extreme. There seems to be no way to reach any sort of managerial entity either.

Hey there, wpease77,
While I wish that your joining were under different circumstances, I appreciate you taking the time to join our community here and for sharing your experience with us. This is a far cry from the experience we would want any of our members to go through when having a device serviced, and I'm sad to hear that this has been the case.
Based on the information you have provided, I ask that you please contact the Geek Squad directly at 1-800-GEEKSQUAD, which is 1-800-433-5778, as they would be best equipped to further assist with this. Alternatively, you may be able to arrange an appointment with the Geek Squad at your local store through this page so they can review your device further.
With that said, I understand that your experience has been less than ideal. As our team works out of the Corporate Campus, I would be glad to document your feedback accordingly. To do so, can you please send me a private message that includes your full name, phone number, and email address? You can send a secure message by using the Private Message button below in my signature.
Best Regards,
