I have a Acer Predator Triton 500 with a GeForce RTX 2080 Max Q and had issues with overheating and cpu throttoling a week before the warranty went out, but after I dropped it off at the store it was ready for delivery back to my house almost two days later. I was told by Acer that is was supposed to be sent to them for the warrenty repair and service, but Geek Squad took it upon themselfs to do the repairs and put the wrong motherbaord inside my laptop.
I can't download the needed software and firmware in order to get the maximum performace and cooling controls and more. I am already having issues with the GPU over-heating and causing studdering during gameplay. I called customer service and was told I just need to drop it off again and have them review it and see if they can understand the issues, but will not compensate me for more time missing work, education and other financial burdens that this just causes me at this point of time.

Good morning, squirrel1489,
Welcome to our forums, albeit under such unfortunate circumstances. Regardless of the item, we hope our customers will have a positive experience whenever our customers entrust our Geek Squad to service their devices, so it’s disappointing to hear there seems to be an issue with your laptop after your most recent service.
Based on what you’ve described here, the information provided by our phone support team is correct, in that you’ll want to return your device to your local Best Buy store, so our Geek Squad can take another look. While we’ll be unable to compensate you for your time, I’m optimistic our Geek Squad will be able to assist in resolving the issues you’ve described.
To schedule your appointment, you can do so online here, or by phone at 1-800-433-5778.
Regards,
