I purchased a new receiver from Best Buy on Ebay at the end of March 2021. The receiver broke last week and I was told by your staff that the receiver was covered by a two year warranty as was listed in the ebay listing. I sent the sony receiver in for repair but now sony tells me that items bought on Ebay are not covered by their warranty. If I had known this I would have never bought the item from ebay but since the listing said it was covered by a 2 year parts and labor warranty I bought it. The receiver is only three months old. Can your team help me resolve this or explain why you would advertise that the item is covered by a warranty but the manufacture says it is not covered?

Hi there, Richard,
Thank you for taking the time to stop by our community forums. I know eBay is a great way to get a better deal on a product and I can understand wanting to take advantage of this manufacturer warranty once you started having issues with this receiver. I would be glad to give you some information on how to get assistance moving forward.
Since this purchase was made on eBay, I would recommend sending a message to the Best Buy account from within your personal eBay account. This team will be able to better assist you in reviewing the product listing and exploring what options are available moving forward.
Please let me know if there are any other matters I can assist you with!
