Tv problem since new in July 2017

I have a Sony tv that randomly turns itself on. Geek Squad has made multiple service calls but does not have a fix and the service technicians recommend it be replaced. Best Buy service manager will not do so. It’s been 16 months that I have been living with this problem! What is wrong with Best Buy? I bought an expensive service plan that isn’t doing me any good.
