Total tech time wasted

I have a minor problem with a lap top.  Shouldn't take but a few minutes for an expert.  I spent 90 minutes waiting onl the phone and got hung up on once.  Then finally got through, helpful person was connecting me with a computer person.  Got hung up on.  Tried one more time, then took it to the local repair shop.  Because this lap top is stuck in BIOS, it could not have remote service.  
I don't mind waiting but getting hung up on after an hour wait is unacceptable.
