Terrible experience in Atlanta Best Buy location could go to arbitration

Took my Samsung Z Fold 3 in because the crease in the middle section broke and so the middle of my phone wasnt working properly (evidently a common occurrence with these phones).  I went through the intake after having an appt. and the phone was inspected.  I received the paperwork stating there was no physical damage and the phone was still under warranty.  I took it out of its case and gave the phone over on Sat. the 18th of this month 1 week ago.  I heard nothing since.  I went back in today to check and see what was going on and suddenly they are claiming there was damage to the phone which voided the warranty and it was going to be $500 to fix it.  As an "apology" they offered $50 off the repair which was insulting to say the least.  I am going to file in small claims court as it is my only recourse unless someone on this forum can help?  I think the arbitor will look at the paperwork clearly stating No physical damage and it will be a quick settlement.  I would rather not go through the hassle if possible and get this resolved if this actually reaches someone who can do something.  The store is in Atlanta at 1210 Caroline St. NE ATL 30307.
