TV issues

I am not sure if this is the correct category but here goes. My wife purchased.a.43" Toshiba Fire TV edition from Amazon. The tv lasted 2 months then bold black lines appeared. She contacted Amazon they said the tv was from best buy and that's where the warranty was. We contacted our best buy and they say that it's Amazon's problem. This has been going on for 8 months. Who do i.need.to.contact ! The tv came with a 1 year warranty. It.seems me both companies are going to point the finger until the warranty expires.

If it's a Toshiba TV, then the warranty isn't through Best Buy nor Amazon, it's through Toshiba. Their support phone number is (855) 527-2411. Manufacturer's warranties go through the manufacturer.

When Toshiba is called they connect me to Geek squad through Best Buy. Requested to bring the tv into the store as Mother is in hospice care and strangers seem to cause her stress. Geek Squad says they cannot help me and I need to go through a Best Buy Manager and the local Best Buy manger here in Montgomery AL have never returned my call.

Welcome to our community forum and thank you for writing to us about this TV. I would be happy to help you look in to what options are available for repair. Most manufacturers offer a one year warranty. This is not normally fulfilled by Best Buy and is serviced by the manufacturer. We do offer some repair options if you don't have a Geek Squad Protection plan. Because of the size of this TV we would be unable to repair it in store but a Geek Squad Agent could come to your home. What information were you trying to get from your local Best Buy? I would be happy to reach out to them on your behalf.

I wanted to bring the tv into the Best Buy. My mother-in-law lives with us and is in hospice care. Her dementia is very sever and any strangers in the house causes her tremendous stress. Our attempts to contact or to receive a call back has be futile. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

In case it helps, I just looked up this TV on Amazon. Its lists the seller as Best Buy even thou its thru Amazon. Must be why Toshiba directs you to BestBuy for the warranty.
