Samsung Oven (NV51K7770SS) rebooting randomly

I've updated the firmware and yet it randomly reboots - even during cooking. Hasn't ruined a meal yet, but it'll happen. Also it will get slow and clunky, missing keypad or dial inputs and only a manual reboot will fix it.

 

Nothing seems to affect the behavior; sometimes you'll hear the beeps from the other rooms as it decides to reboot; other times you can be standing right next to it. Thought maybe the display had a presence sensor of some kind that brought up the display. Nope. Just ... boom, reboot.

 

Nothing I've found on the forums or searching the internet other than many many other complaints of the same thing. The oven is old enough now (2+ years) to have mature, reliable firmware. Any suggestions for engaging wtih either Samsung or Support to get this addressed?  Have the 2 year Geek Squad service plan but after it taking 3 months to schedule the installation not sure I want to deal with it that way.

I'm disheartened that your joining were under these circumstances, as I understand you were facing some issues with your oven. I can totally understand your concerns with those issues arising, and I hope to be able to shed light on the best route to take!

If you have a Geek Squad Protection Plan or if you are a Total Tech Support member, I ask that you please call 1-800-433-5778 to schedule an appointment for your major appliance.

Alternatively, if the unit is still within the original manufacturer's warranty period, your repair may be handled by the manufacturer. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer directly for more information on this. Samsung's contact information can be found here.
