Really dissappointed

Really disappointed in the Best Buy in Gainesville Fl. We purchased a Dell Laptop in Feb and sometime in the following month our laptop got damaged. We brought the laptop back and asked if we could get it repaired. not a big deal dented corner. Their response. No problem. shoudl be around $175. Asked how long. 2 weeks, maybe 3. (we use this computer daily). OK we need to get it done. We call 3 weeks later and left a message. A few days later we get a call from a Tech who told us that he was just now getting to it and waiting for the part. OK now we are at 4 weeks +. Then we receive a call that our computer was ready for pickup. (I live 45 minutes away). I show up and give my name. A Few minutes pass. A nice lady comes out with my laptop..... not fixed at all. still broken 5 weeks plus later. With a statement that they could not fix it. So why would you not say so.... the young lady helping me wanted to give me store credit for my laptop. which would be great, She said she need to get it approved from her manager. He came over and said no there was nothing he would do. He told me he could send it out again and see. Wow just wow. not going back. I wish they would do somthing to help. it took 5 weeks of my work and time for nothing. total dick

That means they ordered the part from Dell, who ether can't get it, or it's to new and parts are not yet available.

Welcome to the Best Buy forum and thank you for sharing your situation with us. As someone who uses their computer every day, I can imagine how difficult it can be to go without your normal device.

 

From what you’ve said, it sounds like the parts to complete the desired physical repair could not be sourced which can limit options.
