Re: TV Replacement

Hi,

I have a similar problem with my replacement offering too, I have a 3D TV invested a lot on recharable glasses and 3D blurays and my TV has full array backlighting curved all the bells and whistles. I am being said they can only offer me a TV half the price and half the features of my original TV. I had a terrible experiance with my geek squaad plan too. I was told I did not have a plan to be serviced when infact I was changer for plan, it was not put on the right product and all of the hassle I had to go through and one of the geek squad managers told they put me on the right geek squad plan and then I called back to get service and again hear that I don't have a plan. I spent numerous work days trying to fix an issue and then had to pay up coz there was some plan rate issue too since to begin with the plan was not transferred to my TV exchange during original purchase. SO now I get all of the mess resolved stressig out paying more and finally hearing about not being able to get the exact feature match or my TV's worth.

Bottom line I am not satisfied with the service or the way my TV cannot be matched nor offered a better value to wait out and get a TV worth my original TV.

Re: TV Replacement

Hey Girishnag,

Thanks for reaching out to us here on our forum, and I can certainly understand where you are coming from on this. I am honestly sorry if after investing in rechargeable 3D glasses, and 3D blurays, you are not being offered what you feel is a comparable replacement TV. It sounds like you have a Geek Squad Protection (GSP) plan that is covering the replacement of this TV.

Your GSP should be replacing your TV with the most comparable model we currently carry that doesn't exceed the original purchase price as determined by us. What make/model TV is your GSP replacing? What make/model TV are you being offered as a replacement. How much did you pay for the TV being replaced?

Thanks,

Re: TV Replacement

Samsung JS9500, offered qled 9f. Which I understand is 9 series Samsung but it does not have all the features I considered when buying my tv. To top it all the TV is discounted right now so I will be offered the TV or equaling credit at discount not full price. I bought my tv for $6000 and the TV offered has a full price of $6000 too which is what I need to be matched too. I paid $1200 to top the $6000 price tag. So the way I will be offered this replacement will make me go from top end TV to entry level TV if the TV needs another replacement does not make sense. My TV was having problem since a year already got a part replaced. I had runaround on geeksquad palm which made me live with issue for one year. If not for anything I need the same value for all my time spent in dealing with fools not helping me acknowledging that I have a plan.

Re: TV Replacement

Hey Girishnag,

What is the exact make and model number of the TV that is being replaced? What is the exact make and model number of the TV we are offering as a replacement TV?

Thanks,

Re: TV Replacement

Hey Girishnag,

Thanks for the model numbers of these TVs. What is the manufacturer of each TV? What features did your old TV have that the TV being offered does not have?

Re: TV Replacement

With that detailed model number you could not make the manufacturer? Both are Samsung.
3D
Curved
Full array back lighting
Now the point still is why would you match me to a discounted price when the TV is still $6000. It does not make any sense protecting the investment when half the time I did not get support and then given half the insurance.

Re: TV Replacement

If you could give me credit to get a TV with $6000 which of course is the value of the TV suggested if not on some sale. I will research and pick a TV that is worth my investment. $6000 is hard earned money and $1200 to protect it too.

Re: TV Replacement

Hey Grishnag,

How much did you originally pay for the TV being replaced? Can you get me the Customer Service Pin number off the original receipt for this TV if purchased in a Best Buy store, or the order number if ordered on BestBuy.com by sending me a private message? To send me a private message click on the message button to the right of my signature?

Thanks,
