I also have had an issue with my kitchenaid fridge refrigerator that we bought from best buy. We bought the protection and our fridge stopped cooling. We called and they said the soonest they could get someone was 5 days later in between 8am and 5pm. The guy showed up at 7:30pm, ran diagnostics, looked at it, and came to the conclusion the evaporator was broken and needed replaced and needed to order a new one. He said he could not because it was after hours but that we could call and get it taken care of. We did call the next day and they told us we could not do anything that they have to order parts from our house (even though we have the part number, the items needed, the cost, where to buy it, etc, literally everything needed by the repair man) and we would have to wait another 5 days to get a repair man to come to our house during business hours and order the part. We've been without a fridge for a week now and that is completely unacceptable. No one has been willing to work with us, why can't the part just get ordered? Why does it have to be from here and what kind of crap system has a repair man come over after hours but can't do anything after hours? I have a family of 5 and going without a fridge is ridiculous. Why couldn't someone just drive to our house order it and leave if they HAVE to order from our house? I can tell you one thing, I'm about done with Best Buy. Screwed me over for the last time. I spend like 10K a year at a minimum at Best Buy and they do this kind of crap?! We called multiple people from the insurance company, the company who sent the repair man out, best buy etc and no one helped in any way shape or form. If I was in charge of this I'd offer to personally go out there and order the part or over ride the stupidity and order the freaking part, or AT THE VERY LEAST offer to let you use a mini fridge or replace the freaking fridge, it's barely a year old! What the heck. I don't get how something that costs so much, is rated so good, is by a well respected company, can suck so bad and then customer service can suck and fail so hard it costs them thousands a year from one customer. Not only that I will make it my purpose to go around to every forum, every review and tell how horrendous this experience is. I cannot fathom why no one has even remotely tried to make it right! I buy a minimum of 2 video games a month, I've bought 2 4k tvs in the last year, 1 1080 tv in the last couple years, 2 surround sound systems, 4 ceiling speakers, 2 computer monitors, 3 mac books, 2 iphones, air pods, boss headphones, etc all within the last couple of years. I'm not joking. Because of the gamers club unlocked program I bought every single item I could at best buy because I could use the points to buy video games. Well that is over which I feel screwed over by that as well, so I have no reason to buy my video games there any more, and they've proven the service sucks so bad that I don't have a reason to go there any more, the product doesn't last like it should so I have no reason to buy it there, etc. So I don't know why I'm wasting my time, I'm just done, seriously, thanks for failing so hard.
Alexandra-BBY, I know this isn't your fault so don't think I'm angry at you, you're a person so I would not ever condone hating or being mean to a person. Best Buy has sure screwed me over though and the repair process is completely messed up right now. I believe in treating people with respect and dignity and obviously others in charge around here do not feel the same way.
