Re: Geek Squad SCAM

What if the comparable tv is cheaper then what I paid, do I get a refund in the cost or do I just get a useless store credit.

Re: Geek Squad SCAM

Once a comparable sku is identified, per the terms and conditions you would receive that tv at an even exchange.

Re: Geek Squad SCAM

Hello Homer,

Welcome to the forum, and thank you for your patience while waiting for our response during this busy holiday season.  @jdogg836 has done a great job of getting you some answers, and I'd like to expound upon their answer just a bit.

Geek Squad Protection (GSP) plans are a fantastic way to protect your valued purchases, especially something so large as a new TV.  In the event you qualify for a replacement product and the original model you purchased is no longer available, our terms and conditions state we’ll typically find a comparable item with near-identical specifications to be exchanged for your current product.  This would fulfill your GSP plan, and we would not issue a store credit for any difference in price.  However, if the comparable model you choose is more expensive than the item you originally purchased, you would have a balance due at the time of the exchange for the difference in price.

Hopefully this clarifies things a bit, but if you have any other questions, please feel free to let me know.  I’ll be happy to help answer whatever I can.

Happy holidays,

Yep, now that this doesn’t follow the original comment it does seem extremely abrupt.
