I purchased a $1500 laptop from Bestbuy (an MSI GS-63), and unfortunately a glass filled with water tipped all over the keyboard. Somehow the laptop still works, but there are problems. The sound is now kinda messed up (the water poured into the speakers too), the screen has water damage, they keyboard feels kinda weird now after all the water seeped into it, and there is some glitchy stuff happening (such as the screen will turn black for a few minutes randomly).
Since I purchased the accidental protection plan for this laptop, I was wondering if I have the option to come in and have the laptop replaced rather than have it fixed (if it's even fixable). I know my plan allows for this laptop to be replaced, but I know sometimes Geek Squad forces you to have it sent out and fixed, making you wait a long duration of time.
Please let me know and thank you!

Getting the laptop fixed by geek squad is generally the first option they will utilize.
You should bring it in so they can send it in for diagnostics.

The best way to discover your options would be to bring your computer in so that our Geek Squad can take a look. You can schedule an appointment by visiting us online here.
