Promised $75 gift card/credit never given

Back in December 2020 the Best Buy Geek Squad did not show for a scheduled appointment to fix my washing machine (I have your warrenty/service plan for the washer).  When I called to complain about the no-show, the representative told me I would receive a $75 gift card for the inconvenience of the no-show.  The repair person did come by the next day and the issue was resolved with a few more visits by the same technician.  After all the repairs were complete I expected to receive the $75 gift card in the mail. It did not arrive. So on Februay, 8, 2021, I talked with Rony of Best Buy.  He gave me a case number of {removed per forum guidelines}.  He said that he could not attach an order number to a gift card (whatever that means) and there would be a note on my account for the $75 credit.  According to Rony, I could call anytime, order a product, and receive the $75 credit.  So on September 22, 2021 there was finally something I wanted to order so I called. However I was told there was no $75 credit on my account.  How convenient (for Best Buy).  The individual transfered me to Corporate(??) and I talked with Jon.  Jon gave me a new case number of {removed per forum guidelines} and said that someone would contact me within 24 hours to help resolve the issue.  Well here it is over 96 hours later and no contact regarding this issue from Best Buy.  Can anyone from Best Buy address this issue through this forum?

Welcome to our community forums. I know that I tend to hold onto gift cards for quite a long time until I find the perfect deal so I can understand wanting to figure out exactly where this gift card is. I appreciate you letting us know about your experience so far and would be glad to see how I can help.


Generally, a gift card will arrive in seven to ten business days in a plain white envelope. To my knowledge, we do not have the ability to add a "credit" to an account and I would like to review your case history so I can better determine how I may be able to help moving forward.
