Price Clarification Please

My daughter’s IPhone 5S needed a battery replacement so, being a Total Tech Support subscriber, my husband went to our closest store for a price confirmation/quote.
The Geek Squad worker informed my husband that the cost would be $49 minus 20%. Upon arriving home, my husband told me the price and I booked an appointment via the app. We arrived to our appointment today and then the staff member stated it would be $79 minus 20%! We informed her that we had got a quote a couple of days earlier and that he stated $49. She apologized and said he was wrong. I paid and left the phone. Returning home, I looked on the website and found that IPhone 5S battery replacement was also stated as being $49! When we went back to retrieve the phone after it was done, I explained to the staff member about the price on the website was listed at the $49 but, he stated because the phone is older it’s charged more then the newer ones...what?! I mentioned the website and he said, “I’m just a worker and I don’t have anything to do with the website.” Price clarification needed here

Welcome to our community forum. It certainly does sound strange to see these price discrepancies and I'd like to take a closer look in to this. Did you have the opportunity to speak to a store manager during your visit? If not I'd like to reach out to them on your behalf to to help research this. Which store location did you visit and when?
