I have a Motorola Moto G7 Power that was purchased on Thursday or Friday(7/18 and 19). Yesterday(7/20), I had the device on a table next to a couch plugged in. I was also using a laser toy with my cat.
For some reason he was spooked by something he bumped with his side and jumped, getting caught on the charger cord, flinging my phone and ripping the cable out of the port.
The port still works fine and the phone is also fine (it was in a case), but the plastic around the bottom portion of the jack was bent downwards and out, resulting in a much less secure and more wiggle room than before.
Again, everything still works, but I am wondering, since I have a one year protection plan, can I get the phone replaced? The store is in Holland, MI.
EDIT: Because of the looser (USB-C) connection, I'm worried the plastic that houses the contact pins may break off and render the phone useless because of the added stress due to the fatigued plastic around the port.
