Re: OverClocking and GSP plan

Hi, uncrustable,

Welcome to Best Buy's online community! Having a Geek Squad Protection Plan (GSP) is a great way to have some peace of mind when taking your technology home.

Your GSP will only continue to cover your product in its original manufacturer condition. Changes to your system must be made by a qualified Geek Squad technician to qualify for continued coverage. You can visit us online at www.geeksquad.com/schedule to schedule a time to speak with an Agent at the store about this.

Thank you,

That was very vauge. Please be more specific. Are you saying that overclocking qualifies as a change to the system? I have also been told different things from different best buy representative. I have been told that I can upgrade the PC as long as I do not do something careless or destructive.

Not really sure which person is telling me the most accurate information..

Re: OverClocking and GSP plan

Hi, uncrustable,

I know that you are seeking Best Buy to provide you with a final response. From my experience, a representative on behalf of Best Buy is not able to override either verbally or in writing what the terms and conditions of the plan have.

I would encourage you to review the Geek Squad Protection (GSP) Terms and Conditions or contact AIG WarrantyGuard, Inc. (“AWG”). AWG is the Obligor and Administrator of the GSP. AWG can be contacted at 500 West Madison, Suite 3000, Chicago, IL 60606-6613, or by calling 800-250-3819.

Thank you,
