This is a heads-up that both customers AND Best buy/ Geek Squad should be concerned with;
I went on the best buy Web site, then geek squad support. I tried to make an in store reservation but the link was highjacked and instead the web site said that I would be contacted by a geek squad tech by phone. The tech posing as a geek squad tech called probably from India as "david" had a heavy Indian accent. He remotely looked over my computer and told me that my computer had over 350 hardware drivers that needed to be replaced at A COST OF 2 DOLLARS EACH OR $700.00. Of course, that's utter garbage and I would have told him that rightaway but keep in mind I thought I was talking to Geek Squad personnel.
This dosen't reflect well on either Best Buy or Geek Squad that they cannot keep scammers off their site, ripping people off!
